black dove

i found a dove dead laying in a wet patch of mosses. i splayed her wings and took several photographs...i originally posted her
at chickory's old blog "gone native". i've photochopped this image to replicate the look of a japanese print and to place hold while i take a blog break.

Once again I find myself horribly jealous of your talent.
Make the break short...please.

So this is what it looks like when doves die.

(Visualize yours truly crawling wet and naked out of a clawfoot bathtub in a large room with nothing else in it ... crawling provocatively toward his laptop where your dove post is displayed)

Wow. You've managed to bring out the beauty in the sadness of the dove's fate.

ohhhhh I am envious of your break! I hope you will post photos!

Cool bird shot. I was at the ocean once when red tide had killed dozens of varieties of fish. It was sad but sooooooooooo awesome to see. I wish I had had my camera!

I found a dead bird in my yard last week. It didn't look that pretty....I buried it...but am wondering what might have killed it...

For some reason I had you in mind this morning... was thinking of the funny bloggy' poetry days of long ago..then I thought of you...
