diane: welcome! first, thank you for your comment on the arnolfini wedding in the previous post...i didnt know about the folds of clothing = status but it makes sense. much more sense than my notion of her pregnant on her wedding day grrrherhahahaha! that soft yellow is kind of how the light was yesterday when it finally found its way through the trees and onto leaves....

paintings for boney? but where would i see them? i cant find your blog!

nyd: thank you! and, i have to tell you your post reminded me to see if i cant get to NYC to see the whitney biennal!!

I dont have a Blog yet, your photo of the Virgin Bedroom with the beautiful Trout started all of this searching for paintings for Boney. He got all confused, God love him, about a painting he had seen with a nude woman on a bed, a mirror & a dog, it reminded him of your photo.Anyway, after a bit of googling I almost found the right painting. Check out his Blog. I think your paintings are stunning, full of energy & the colours are so vivid. May I ask why it is called The Virgin Bedroom?

diane: yes i tracked you to boneys. and saw the art -it is amazing how much that photo draws upon art history. i wonder was my sub-conscious in the drivers seat when i composed that photo?

about the "virgin bedroom"; like many long-time married people mr she and i have our own rooms; a critical move on our part, it greased the wheels of marital civilization so to speak. the issue of the TV in the bedroom was a huge disagreement. i cant fall asleep with one on; he likes to and wakes up when i turn it off! anyway, my room is the virgin bedroom because all the love-dovey happens in mr shes room. grrrrrherhahahaha

i look forward to your blog -esp. if your knowledge on art matters is to be part of the content.

I ain't kiddin' here, can you believe I want to be a humorist? I mean, honest....if I have to explain it, it ain't that funny.
(on the other hand, I have so many folks asking me what in the dickens is so funny....

Dang! I AM lame, sometimes...
The picture on the front page, had you clicked on it was Crash's front page only without the body.

It is, without a doubt, the lamest front page I have ever come up with. (that's what I call the first thing one sees...so. How can I make it less lame?
And, why am I asking you?
You have a class act page over here most times I come by.
I say "most" because like most self employed folks, you sometimes don't have the time to "play" blog, so it don't always change.

I know what I have to do....
I gotta get a bus out to California and clean that body up myself.

Y'know. The picture looked real fine, but I just remembered what I liked about this before....
that "scan" on the red looks cool enough to be
(dang, now...this is a compliment...)
wallpaper!
I think it's cool to beat the band!
(what? You say it's cool to beat the band? No. Don't go beating the band!)
Really cool.

She: yes that photo of yours opened up a whole lot of research into paintings with nudes, mirrors & dogs.
Maybe your sub-conscious was remembering a painting that you had seen. I was sure I had seen one myself that would fit the same criteria as Boney's description, haven't found it but am not going to obsess over it.

Your 'Virgin Bedroom' is lovely, your own special haven & somewhere to visit as well - the best of both worlds.

I'm still making up my mind about a Blog of my own. I did study art history in high school but believe me I'm not an art expert, I just pick up interesting facts from books & documentaries. :)

To be perfect in his eyes

along the way she stumbles,

she falls.

And as she sleeps alone at night,

all of her dreams

shall come to light.

Much mirth and warmth,

and faultless love.

Morning sun awakens

her slumber.

Upon her pillow,

her head lay heavy.

A solitary tear escapes.

Hombre susurrante...she knows,

all but a dream.
