At the time I was horrified by the lese majeste at the time of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. As I recall, it was banned from the radio and, even though it went to Number One, we couldnt see it on Top of the Pops.
These days I enjoy the tune and the lyrics, even if I am still a Royalist.

When the wedding was announced last year, one British paper headlined it "Unemployed Woman To Marry Into Welfare Family."
