Find some joy today.
I think one of the blessings of living in this country is that America is also a concept. So it exists in and of itself, complete and separate from what our leaders currently do to obfuscate its ideals.
That being said, our current leaders are thugs.

Happy "dead white men" acknowlegement day! One wonders if Generation Yo! government school victims who spend more time on Maya Angelou than John Adams understand what this day's about.
They definately do NOT get the "slide-to-serfdom".
I kinda feel like that hammer at times.... clunk, clunk, go to work, clunk, make a little money, clunk, get a bill in the mail from the IRS, clunk it's all gone.
Still, as a woman, I prefer this country to pretty much all of the rest out there and just wish we could transport our forefathers back to kick the asses of the ones currently messing with it.

for CHrist sake aunty! I used the clip for the visual of the STATE hammers. its the perfect imagery. there isnt any Floydian subtext. and trust me, i am ANYTHING but comfortably numb.

McCain wanted to increase the wars (both of them) and lord knows what the whore queen of the North would be doing for kicks as a VP.
Nixon started the war on the American public when he and that moron, Joseph McCarthy started rounding up everyone that wasn't a Republican, and accusing them of being communists.
Again, he opened up the war to the public when he lied about the "war on marijuana" which he KNEW better about.
He hand picked the commission that gave marijuana a clean bill of health.
Lastly, HE was the guy that opened the door to China, future marketing loans, and, essentially, one of your favorite stores (a bit of sarcasm before I name the store)
Walmart.

IF more than two thirds of the troops are back from Afghanistan by next election, IF he gets back to the proposals he brought to the table before about marijuana, IF he gets those RICH bozos back to paying their just dues...
