and so i agreed with Bacon up until yesterday. When congress decided to create a situation where mortgage lenders and banks could make loans to grossly unqualified people and risky schemes i thought this is idealism out of control and seriously detached from reality. somewhere along this path it was decided that home ownership was a right, and it keeps on expanding: health care is a right, college is a right; no body should ever struggle or have a moments discomfort. and while the politicians set up their futures by creating gigantic giveaways naturally the false system made corruption the logical outcome and now we have this massive bailout. CEO's that ran companies into the ground have ejected out of the crashing jet and onto their private island. the rest of us are stuck here in a debtors prison: the US of BROKE ASS A. Damn i hate horizontal stripes!

i can't distinguish the political parties from one another. they all need to be turned out. I would vote for a candidate who would stand up today and say "no bailout, and its going to suck and suck bad for a while. and people will hurt. and there will be job losses and cuts, but we are americans and we will weather the storm and on the other side of it we will have a sound free market economy" sadly, that person did not make it to the Show.

think Obama is different? Think again!

* Obama adviser, Franklin Raines, who reaped millions from Fannie Mae and gets a guaranteed lifetime pension of $110,000 per month after he left amidst a huge mismanagement scandal and, according to the Washington Post, “perpetrated ‘extensive financial fraud’” at Fannie Mae.

*Obama, who’s only been in the U.S. Senate since 2005, is the #2 recipient out of 354 lawmakers of lobbying monies from Fannie and Freddie (not to mention Lehman Bros. and AIG)

*Obama’s bosom buddy Tony Rezko who enabled Obama to buy a mansion he couldn’t afford in exchange for Obama passing on millions in government housing contracts and state pension funds that Rezko defaulted on. Never mind the rat infestations, the broken plumbing that spewed sewage through the kitchen faucet, or no heat for MONTHs in the winter in the housing projects that Tony Rezko “managed” and “renovated.” The sole interest of Barack’s best buddy Tony was to make big bucks off taxpayer money. The only difference between Rezko and Obama’s current set of advisers is that, unlike Jim Johnson and Franklin Raines, Tony Rezko is going to prison.
